MandarinClips operates on a strict data-minimization philosophy. We believe language learners should study without surveillance. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third-party data brokers or advertising networks.
2. Information We Collect
Account Information: When you sign in via Magic Link, Google OAuth, or link your Patreon account, we store your email address, verified display name, and optional avatar URL.
Learning Assets & Progress: We record your favorited clips, custom vocabulary study tags, and search history to maintain your personalized study dashboard.
Technical & Telemetry Data: Standard server logs, IP addresses (hashed for abuse prevention), and browser user-agent headers collected via Cloudflare edge routing solely for security and rate-limiting.
3. Cookies & Local Storage
We do not deploy third-party advertising tracking cookies. We utilize only essential session cookies:

4. Payment & Subscription Security
Pro membership billing is handled entirely through Patreon. MandarinClips never sees, processes, or stores your credit card numbers, billing addresses, or banking information. We receive only webhook events confirming active entitlement tiers.
