1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using MandarinClips (“the Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you must discontinue access immediately.
2. Permitted Use & Academic Scope
MandarinClips grants you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access our linguistic index and media corpus solely for personal, non-commercial language study and instructional demonstration.
3. Prohibited Conduct
You expressly agree not to engage in any of the following activities:
- Automated scraping, bulk harvesting, or mining of the video assets, subtitles, or linguistic graph without explicit written authorization;
- Redistributing, broadcasting, or selling the underlying video media files on third-party portals or commercial courses;
- Attempting to probe, bypass, or flood the Platform’s rate limiters, authentication tokens, or Cloudflare edge protections;
- Reverse engineering or exploiting any proprietary algorithms of the semantic relationship engine.
4. Pro Memberships & Subscriptions
Billing Cycle: Pro memberships operate via Patreon recurring subscriptions. Membership privileges remain active throughout the current paid billing cycle.
Cancellation & Grace Period: When you cancel your subscription, your Pro privileges will remain active until the end of your prepaid period (current_period_end), after which your account automatically reverts to Free Tier without data loss.
Fair Usage: High-bandwidth features (such as bulk Anki deck exports) are subject to automated rate-limiting to prevent server abuse.
5. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
The platform and linguistic annotations are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. MandarinClips makes no warranties regarding uninterrupted availability. In no event shall MandarinClips be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your access to or inability to use the corpus.
